Works in Private Collections |
|
As a newly-minted artist, I did not consider the importance of photographing my work. The excitement of seeing it on display in the gallery setting seemed like enough at the time, so I have no photographic record of a number of early works that left the gallery with their new owners. In many cases, a sale through a gallery does not identify the buyer, so there was often no way to request photographs after the fact. The following are photos of some of the works held in private collections that I was fortunate enough to obtain from the known owners, or for which I had the foresight to take photos prior to their having been sold.
